Yesterday I canned my first batch of pumpkin butter. The lovely decynthus has a sample jar to let me know how it came out. I will say this- my house smelled wondeful- like I was baking pumpkin pies! This batch made in the slow cooker and well, took longer than I budgeted for- meaning I was up at 1:30AM (yes, AM boys and girls) putting this up.
For those not sure what you do with fruit butters- they are delightful spread on breads, bagles, toast, crackers and my son loves peanut butter with apple butter sandwiches over jam any day. (although he is a fan of my strawberry jam, I will say...)
