My flight cancelled- after several delays. Of course that means they have around 150 people to rebook out and that was the last fight for tonight. By the time I got up to the counter, the best I could do was an afternoon flight tomorrow. I won't get there until 7pm. So I lose a day plus of vacation I can't get back. To say I'm annoyed is an understatement. Nothing to be done for it. My husband came and picked me back up after I stood in like for an hour and a half.
Right now I hate US Airways. They also offered no compensation. I get that for weather- that's not their fault. But this was a maintenance issue and that's on them, NOT me. So I'm contacting their customer service this week and having a discussion with them. I may see if they will rebook my return to next Sunday instead of Saturday so I can make up at least part of this lost time.
