My dearest and closest friend, henrycat is now back in the US after working and living in Japan for the last five years. I can't begin to tell you how much this means to me. Even though we are still on opposite coasts, it is a damn sight better than half a world away. We will definitely be doing plays with Stephen Caffrey and hopefully Contxt in June.
The clocks were turned back an hour today and with it, some bitter cold weather despite the sunshine. Brrrrrr! I'll try to keep my wintertime whining to a minimum, honest but let me just say here for the record- I. HATE. WINTER.
Payment book arrived Friday night for my new baby. Just when I was really warming up to the idea of having a new ride, reality crashed back in with a reminder for the next five year. Oh the joy.
We had a bake sale at work. I made cheesecake bars and my much requested pumpkin cheesecake. And I had several requests to offer another cheesecake subscription. The winner this time, a sweet girl named Holly in IT was over the moon to say the least. I'm always so flattered when people go nuts for one of my subscriptions. I love to bake and especially love to do cheesecakes and offering a subscription for these bake sales always brings in a lot of money. First cake up will be a red velvet one I just got the recipe for- which will be in December.
I started knitting again for the cooler weather. I owe baby blankets to two friends who had their babies several months ago. I'm sure they know who they are and my apologies for not getting to these sooner.
My writing muse has deserted me again. I had hoped to write all weekend and instead did not. I don't lack for ideas-- that's never an issue. But finding the will lately has been next to impossible.
