Halloween cat

H5O musings

I'm steadily working on my first Five-O songvid. I mentioned to HCat yesterday that I'd forgotten how much I enjoy vidding. I just haven't had the time for it. I don't have the depth and power that Kallie does, or the ability to use special effects in just the right places so I have to go with straight up editiing and scene choices. But I'm pretty happy with what I've got going on right now. I could post the wip to the h5o_vidders  at some point as it's been quiet over there.

I wish we had all of this "behind the scenes" stuff for ToD the way we do for Five-O. I follow a couple of blogs and journals and there are all these posts of people who got back from vacation or who actually live in Hawaii who were at a location shoot and have either fantastic video or pictures. I love this stuff. Some of my favorite pictures from ToD are the "off camera" moments and we have so few of those. With Five-O, we have a wealth!

Which brings me to another note- as to how "open" this set appears to be when they are not on a soundstage. It floors me really. The cast seems not to mind and in fact, Alex goes right over between takes to sign autographs and thank the fans, all the time. Seriously. I mean, how cool is that?

Random note here: Danno does NOT wear a watch. Period. Why I picked this up I have no idea but there you have it.

I'm such a character person and the more damaged, the more I salivate. (I'm sick like that!)  So is it any wonder that this last episode on Monday had blown me away, completely. I'm still going over it in my head. Scott Caan is nothing short of amazing in this role. The Danny Williams character has really come around, well beyond the snarkiness to someone you can't help but ache for. What happens in the end is heartbreaking. Pearl Jam's song- The End makes it that much more so. Its spawned a wealth of fanfics that I haven't been able to keep up with.

Well, now that I've got that out of my system, I'll go vid.
